Stu Cabe, CEO
Stu Cabe is a nationally recognized speaker, educator, and theater professional with nearly 35 years of experience working with students, educators, and school communities. As Co-Founder of The Chalkboard Agency, Stu brings a lifelong passion for storytelling and student connection into every classroom, stage, gym and school auditorium he enters. Stu began his journey in 1990 with the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT), where he toured internationally as an actor, trainer, and director, teaching young people in more than 20 states and six countries. It was during this time that he discovered the powerful intersection between theater and education—a connection that continues to drive his work today. With a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with a double endorsement credential, Stu taught high school theatre before transitioning to full-time work as a keynote speaker and school assembly presenter. His dynamic, high-impact assemblies and seminars have reached over 1.8 million people across North America, Japan, Guam, American Samoa, and Saipan, inspiring students and educators alike to lead with empathy, integrity, and courage. Stu is also a longtime presenter with Ignite2Unite’s Breaking Down the Walls as well as a consultant and trainer for LINK CREW and WEB under The Boomerang Project, helping schools nationwide improve culture, connection, and student leadership. Most recently, Stu co-created The Story Exchange, a digital curriculum that brings authentic, everyday stories into classrooms. Designed to foster emotional connection and spark meaningful dialogue, these video narratives support social-emotional learning, leadership development, advisory programs, and whole-school culture building. He has also helped design and grow programs such as: •Connecting the Dots (elementary) •Kindness Rules! (middle school) •ReMIX (high school) •Senior wRap (High School Senior celebration) Whether he’s delivering a keynote at an educator conference or leading a school-wide assembly, Stu’s message remains consistent: every student matters, every voice counts, and every story has the power to connect. A proud Pacific Northwest native, Stu lives in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, with his wife of over 30 years. He is the father of two young adult children and the proud grandfather of Sayla-Page.
